This post is dedicated to Robert Doisneau. Recently, I viewed some of his photos, and they electrified me. He was a pioneer of street photography, working in the years before and after World War II. He was famous for a joyful whimsy—an arch view of human nature as revealed in the streets and cafés of Paris. A gallery of his photos is posted here.
